The 2022 Girl Scouts San Diego Volunteer Conference and Celebration, held Aug. 27, was a great chance to connect with other leaders, learn something new, and even try the new Raspberry Rally cookie flavor (it's pretty darn good!)
The program included sessions on the new Daisy program, how to lead conflict resolution in troops, advice for leading multi-level troops (led by our own LMSU Manager Rebekah Hill), outdoor cooking, hatchet throwing, and even archery (led by LMSU Activity Coordinator Alex Swift).

Hikerfest! 2022 is coming up on Oct. 15! This year's event features guest speaker Nicole Snell, CEO of Girls Fight Back. Plus, attendees will learn about the amazing trips the girls went on this past year, and get excited for the new trips planned for 2023. There will also be prizes and ice cream! The International Bipolar Foundation offers a free Mental Health Awareness patch to girls who learn about mental health through their free, leader-led patch program. More info here: https://ibpf.org/learn/programs/mental-health-awareness-patch/
Rangers at the Tijuana River National Estuarine Research Reserve are happy to lead programs for Girl Scouts of all ages, and the park is close enough to the Living Coast Discovery Center that the two venues could be combined for a day trip!
