Early Bird Renewal has started and ends May 31st.
Troop incentive: National Marine Mammal Foundation is providing a program experience! We are working on which Program, Program Age Levels for our troops and time program will be offered – updates are coming! Troops need to renew 70% of kiddos in their troop for our next membership year. How do we calculate this number? We pull a roster of all eligible troops on April 1 then take out all graduating high school seniors. Next, we use the remaining number to calculate 70%.
Dates and locations.
Escondido Program Center: Saturday, June 17, Friday, June 23 and Tuesday, July 11
Balboa Program Center: Saturday, June 24, Sunday, June 25, Sunday, July 9 and Saturday, July 15
What is an eligible troop? A troop that has:
2 non-related adults and 3 girls for Cadette, Senior and Ambassador
2 non-related adults and 5 girls for Daisy, Brownie and Junior
Service unit incentive: if your service unit registers 55% of adults in your service unit then will earn 55% off your GSSD encampment property fee. New adult members and renewed adult members will be counted towards your 55% goal. This is a savings of up to $175-$550, depending on the site.
If your service unit has secured a second encampment site, your discount will only apply to the site your service unit secured during the 2023-2024 encampment lottery.
Property fee refers to the price for your lodgings (cabin and tent sites) for your encampment. All activities and food services will still be full price.
Be sure your encampment director mentions your 55% off when confirming usage before receiving the initial invoice for your encampment.
Who is an adult in your service unit? There are two types of membership available for those 18 years of age or High School graduate: Adult and Lifetime. For this campaign we are counting Adult and Lifetime. Open Looker report SU ROSTER: Full Roster. The 5th column from left hand side indicates type of membership. There are times I get Membership Type and Role Name confused but not anymore!
For your Service unit to receive the incentive of 55% off your encampment site fee, La Mesa needs to register 153 adult and/or lifetime members by May 31, 2023, for 2024 membership year. 153 is the combined number of adult and lifetime members. Currently you have 69 adults signed up for next year!
