As we get closer to the 2023 Girl Scout Cookie Season (sales start at 9 AM, Jan. 29), please make sure Troop Cookie Managers (TCMs) are aware of the new training in gsLearn and connect with LMSU Cookie Coordinator Valerie M. (lamesasucookies@gmail.com) to submit their signed TCM agreement.
The new TCM training in gsLearn features some interesting updates for the 2023 season. Here are a few highlights for TCMs and troop leaders:
What’s new this year?
Raspberry Rally, the “sister cookie” to Thin Mints, will be for sale online only. This variety will be $6.00 per box and sold for shipment only. Troops cannot purchase Raspberry Rally boxes online to sell at booths.
There is no pre-order program this year.
Families can now update inventories in Digital Cookie AND Digital Cookie should now sync properly to eBudde. Plus, eBudde has been redesigned to be more user friendly this year, and important resources have been packaged in a downloadable file for TCMs.
Across the board, all cookies will cost $6.00 per box. This price increase will support efforts like Girl Scouts San Diego’s pandemic recovery, increased inflation, and programs to promote local Girl Scout activities.
Due to new tax laws, third-party payment apps such as CashApp and Venmo cannot be used to collect cookie money.
What’s coming back?
Initial orders are due in December—the deadline is Dec. 14. The initial order stocks troops for the first two weeks of the Cookie Season. Starting with an initial order of 108 packages per girl will earn those girls a themed “Go Bright Ahead” t shirt (distributed at cookie pick up).
Troops can earn a priority booth selection if they either sold 2,000+ Fall Product items or placed an initial order at the recommended 108+ boxes per girl level.
The GS San Diego product program team will again hold virtual office hours this year.
