Get Outside!
Leading a Girl Scout troop requires us to work outside of our comfort zones on a regular basis, stretch our abilities and learn new skills. Getting outside and into nature is one of the major aspects of scouting. If you're not comfortable with the great outdoors or feel like you need help, Council has great training and resources to get you on the right trail.

The La Mesa Service Unit has many volunteers that are experienced in the outdoors. We're here to help and support you.

Planning a "high adventure" kind of activity or a trip outside San Diego County?
Make sure to check in with SU Activity Coordinator Alex Swift for activity approvals and to complete the required safety paperwork.

In fact, it's smart for all leaders to check the Activity Approval page during trip planning!
